Strange Days
Been a hectic and confusing month.

I managed to get away early in the month to Gibraltar. Check out my videos on my YouTube channel (@amandaoutthere) .
I've said before that I tend to go to places that are LGBTQ friendly and whilst this is a British colony I had read in advance that it was a tad more conservative.
That's a suprise particularly in light of the obvious Mediterranean influence.
That said whilst there was no obvious either pro or anti LGBTQ sentiment, I actually had a fabulous time and found the locals to be quite friendly.
Even travelling was a breeze. I think people are more concerned about their own worlds and life than bother me .
A trip up to Blackpool followed.
Regular readers will know how important and influential this place is in my story.
It was another amazing weekend and check out my video for the fun had. If you are LGBTQ and haven't been there, then add it to the list to go. Stay around the North station area and there are bars galore.
Just before I went away though we had the supreme court decision.
I've written a lot on this on linkedin and will be attending protests in the coming weeks.
In short little has changed. Single sex spaces (and toilets aren't by the way) can exclude me but there must be a legitimate aim.
Best of luck with that
The toilets argument is the stupidest. If biology trumps anything else then I suggest you Google "Transmen". Born biologically Women but looks more masculine than I ever did. Oh and what's to stop a nefarious man just simply saying they are a Transman (NB some Transmen have had bottom surgery or wear a packer) and walking into the ladies.
It's a crazy outcome that if birth biology is sacrement, that nefarious men now don't have to dress up as a woman to commit acts....this was the frequent used justification for the issue....they now just claim to be a Transman. Oh and if sex trumps gender to get Transmen to go into the men's and Transwomen also in the men's, well that's sex....yes sex.... discrimination.
Why do I think this is a mad decision.....see above.
As for me I'm holding onto and channelling my anger. To quote Vincent Hannah (Al Pacino) in the film Heat ..
"I gotta hold on to my angst. I preserve it because I need it. It keeps me sharp, on the edge, where I gotta be."
That's going to drive me more in the future than before.
In the meantime I'm carrying on as is.
Amanda xx
